Nestled on 30 peaceful acres at the base of Woodside’s Western Hills and the edge of a Nature Preserve, Portola Farms is one of Northern California’s most beautiful and well equipped horse boarding facilities. Easily accessed from Interstate 280 and a 30 minute drive from San Francisco or San Jose, Portola Farms serves equestrians of all disciplines. Glenn and Nancy Atkinson have owned and operated the facility since 1987. Glenn is a lifelong equestrian and in 2008 was honored as the San Mateo County Mounted Patrol Horseman of the Year. Although training is optional at Portola Farms, six professional hunter/jumper trainers offer the following: full training, lessons, grooming, turnout services, school horses, summer camps.
