The Gill family ranches date back to 1873 when we moved from Iowa to Porterville, California. By the early 1920’s, we expanded to Madera County, bought up several ranches, built a feedlot and established the office where it is today. In1949, we registered our first Foundation Quarter Horse colts that descend directly from the "Driftwood" line. We are recently honored for 50 continuous years of breeding and registering quarter horses with the AQHA. These horses all have a great rodeo and performance heritage. Truly are, horses with a history, from the ranch to the rodeo.
