About

Windswept Stables is a private boarding facility with over 40 years of experience with handling & care of horses. We are open to all disciplines of riders, from casual trail riders to competitors. There are wooded trails on the 40+ acres of property, and trails maintained by the University of Maine at Orono are just a stones throw away. We keep two riding areas; an outdoor sand riding area, and an enclosed indoor riding ring. We do require the following vaccinations prior to your horse arriving to Windswept Stables: Flu (4 or 5 way),Tetanus, Rhino, EHV 1+4, West Nile, EEE, Rabies, & Strangles. Windswept Stables offers not only monthly board for our long term guests, but daily and weekly rates as well.
