A Dapple A Day Equine Center is a non-profit (501(c)3 pending) that offers both therapeutic riding and horsemanship in the North Country. Our mission is to provide a therapeutic horse experience for children and adults living with physical, cognitive, and social-emotional needs. Therapeutic riding, or adaptive riding, is gaining popularity as an alternative therapy method. Riders participate in mounted and unmounted sessions to work on muscle tone, spatial awareness, ability to concentrate, hand-eye coordination, socialization, and the ability to participate in a sport. We also provide riding lessons to able-bodied children and adults wishing to learn riding skills and build a relationship with horses.
