We are located in Jefferson Township, Washington County, between the town of Burgettstown and the West Virginia State Line. Green Spring Farm was first deeded in 1781 as payment for service in the American Revolution, and patented as Green Spring Farm in 1789. Throughout it's history, Green Spring Farm has been a dairy farm, a beef farm, a potato farm, and a fruit orchard. Today it is owned and run by the Strain family, where Benjamin Strain ran a dairy farm from 1990 to 1997, In 1997, he converted the dairy operation into an equine care facility, which carries on to this day, with his wife, Peggy and his son, Rob, overseeing the daily operations.
